Excellent Workbook
I purchased this book to help with my habit of stress eating and binge eating and I’m so glad I did. This book improved my relationship with food more than anything else I’ve tried in the six years I’ve struggled with these issues. This book not only helped me eat healthier (without any strict rules or difficult and expensive meal plans) but it also helped me enjoy food more and find more satiety in my food. I also love that it’s not as regimented as intuitive eating which I find a bit intimidating. The end of the book also has all the exercises printed out a second time so you’re getting two copies of all the worksheet type pages with the intent that you use the second set to continue your practice after you learn all the principles and information from the first half.

Mindfulness Nurtures
Becoming aware, keeping track, registering your body, emotions, and thoughts, are habits of mindfulness. The Mindful Eating Workbook shows you how to be mindful about food, and uses simple explanations, questions, and exercises to teach you. The book also provides pages where you can record your experience so you can increase your awareness and develop healthy habits. These habits nurture us in all aspects of life, including eating.I’ve read a review copy sent to me by the publisher.

This is a Game Changer
I asked to review this book as I thought it would help me start off the new year with a new view of my diet. After so many years of trying to figure out what botherâs my stomach, trying this diet and that, this weird food and such; Iâve come to the conclusion I havenât a clue what to eat to be healthy. Keto says this, but I donât feel good like everyone else does eating that way, Paleo says eat this way, but nothing tastes good that Iâve tried, Atkin says eat lots of meat and fat, I get stomach pains. So, what do I eat?I was blown away by the information in this book that has you evaluate your relationship with food and your body. This author asks readers questions so that they can become aware of themselves and the food they eat. For example, she explains what mindful eating is, ââ¦mindful eating is using all of our senses to be present in the entire eating experience, including choosing and preparing the food, while acknowledging our inner wisdom and body cues without judgment.âI know eating has become a chore not a pleasure. Iâve been eating things I donât like in order to be healthy and lose weight. The author addresses these issues and so much more through a list of questions at the end of each chapter to get you thinking about how you view food, and become aware of what you tell yourself about it and your body.I was blown away by the insight and what I learned about myself. I got more than I bargained for in a good way. Once you become aware of what your attitude about food is (through each chapter and questions,) the author than gives you a step-by-step guide to change a habit or three. (Grin)âOne diet doesnât fit allâ Just because one diet doesnât work the way it should doesnât mean Iâm a bad person, or I donât have self-control and Iâm not crazy if I donât like what Iâm eating because I think it tastes like tree bark and no one else does. LOL! It just means Iâm different and I need to find what works for me. No judgement on me and/or my body. This is a book youâll not want to rush through. This is a book everyone should read. Itâs a keeper!Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the Publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. Not another diet book
In this workbook Vincci Tsui provides information, exercises, and space for reflection aimed at helping the reader develop a mindful relationship with food. Tsui writes from an attitude of caring and nonjudgment. This is not another dieting book. There are no food regimens, calorie counters, or portion controls. Tsuiâs goal is to help individuals regain a positive relationship with food. The exercises are simple. Some of the concepts, though, may seem radical for Americans indoctrinated within a dieting culture. Tsui challenges common views concerning body image, weight, nutrition, and health. Reading her book will provide readers with a different perspective about the place of food in our lives. This workbook will interest a wider audience than just those interested in mindfulness. This book is a tool for anyone who wants to find pleasure and joy in the act of eating. This review is based on a reading of a free review copy received from the publisher.

Such a compassionate approach
I read this book on Kindle Unlimited. I was drawn to it because of an illness that caused a major change in how and what I can eat – in other words, I was medically forced to change my relationship with food. She teaches the many levels of hunger (when I read it, I hadn’t eaten in over two weeks and found that helpful), and gives permission to be compassionate with one’s Self and body. I think people who diet regularly will highly benefit from how she rips the whole concept of diets apart and then provides tools so one can become a partner with their body in food choices. The tools are easy (but require practice) and will be familiar to anyone who uses the Headspace app (in fact they make an excellent pairing). I highly recommend this workbook to anyone who has various food challenges and is willing to try mindfulness – it really helps!

This book is very effective to describe mindful eating, and give many tips about how to do it. It is not easy in the beginning, but with few days of practice my relation with food changed for better.

Love the author. Love the book. If you have ever struggled with eating issues, with not trusting your body and being unable to listen to it – this is the book for you. Step by step chapters to help you work on reconnecting with your body and the wisdom it holds. Diet industry is full of lies and misinformation. Read this book if you want to leave that never ending cycle and trust the wisdom within you.
