Save your money, read a couple articles online
I had high hopes but it’s nothing you couldn’t find online and a couple articles. Very disappointed.

Beautiful quality design book, hard cover but did not read it yet. I bought also Eat beautiful very nice and interesting.

This is an absolutely beautiful book, the hard back is excellent quality, it looks really good and it is a really nice experience to read it.
The style is really nice and it does have some really useful remedies that you can create, some really useful information on interventions. I have used Neal’s Yard Remedies products and they are always very high quality and super beneficial to the body and mind. The book allows you to create your own such remedies and consider different approaches.
It covers herbal remedies, aromatherapy, foods, movement/exercise, therapeutic practices and specifics of making remedies and food items.
I think it does have some useful things that can support mental health but there are some areas that are just lightly touched and I don’t think it delivers on the fully holistic approach. It can in many ways just come across as a mish mash of remedies/approaches without then bringing together and helping someone understand an integrated approach to mental health. Certain sections are also very minimalistic and would need further research and exploration.

âMental Wellnessâ looks at natural and therapeutic resources and is easy to read. This holistic approach is aimed at improving mental wellness through herbs, homeopathy, aromatherapy and breathwork â including therapies, connecting with nature and destressing through hobbies and exercise.
It is divided into nine headings â the first two headings examine mental wellness and helps you to explore your own. There is a symptom checker divided into sub-headings that give facts and possible suggestions for personal wellbeing improvements.
After this, five further headings take you through therapies and exercises, and ends with how to make infusions, tinctures, smoothies and snacks to aid mental wellness. The text is supported by detailed illustrations and clear, colourful photographs, which are very useful.
The book is well organised and clearly written, with an index so you can find what youâre looking for easily. The way it is laid out makes me want to find out more about the topics discussed.

At a time when mental health seems to be such an important issue, I think that we all need to be looking at ways to reduce stress in our lives, and to take steps to look after our own mental wellbeing. I love using Nealsâ Yard products so I was keen to read this book on Mental Wellness. It states that it is a holistic approach to mental health and healing, and includes lots of information, natural remedies, foods, therapies and lifestyle strategies. It looks like such an interesting book and I am enjoying reading it so far. There are lots of tips, advice and information, which probably wonât suit everyone but I think if you take just a few things away from reading this book, it is a benefit.
