La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 Healing Ointment and Soothing Therapeutic Multi Purpose Cream
Amazing Product , **Review: La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 Healing Ointment and Soothing Therapeutic Multi Purpose Cream**La Roche-Posay’s **Cicaplast Balm B5** is a versatile, skin-soothing product that excels at healing and repairing damaged or irritated skin. As someone who values effective skincare, especially for sensitive or compromised skin, I found this balm to be a fantastic multi-purpose solution.### **Texture and Absorption**The texture is thick, creamy, and comforting, yet it absorbs surprisingly well without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. It creates a protective barrier on the skin, which helps lock in moisture and promote healing without clogging pores. This is ideal for people with sensitive skin or those prone to breakouts.### **Key Ingredients**The star ingredients in this balm include **Panthenol (Vitamin B5)** and **Madecassoside**, both known for their healing, anti-inflammatory, and soothing properties. The Panthenol works to hydrate and promote skin regeneration, while Madecassoside, derived from Centella Asiatica, helps calm irritation and redness. Additionally, the balm is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and suitable for sensitive skin, which is great for those who are prone to allergic reactions or have very reactive skin.### **Performance and Versatility**What sets the **Cicaplast Balm B5** apart is its multi-purpose use. It can be applied to a variety of skin concerns, from healing cuts and scrapes to soothing dry patches, eczema, and even post-procedure skin (like after laser treatments or chemical peels). It is also great for repairing the skin barrier, especially for those dealing with extreme dryness or irritation from environmental factors like harsh weather or sunburn.I’ve personally used it on dry, irritated skin, and noticed significant improvements overnight. It’s particularly effective on dry hands, chapped lips, and even as a spot treatment for dry patches or healing blemishes. The protective layer it creates helps speed up the skin’s healing process without causing irritation or discomfort.### **Drawbacks**The only potential downside for some users might be the richness of the formula. While it absorbs well for most skin types, those with oily or combination skin may find it a bit too heavy for daily use on the face, particularly in humid climates. However, it’s perfect for targeted areas or during winter when the skin needs extra protection.La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 is a must-have for anyone dealing with sensitive, dry, or irritated skin. Its multi-purpose healing properties make it a versatile addition to any skincare routine, and the soothing, non-irritating formula is perfect for all ages and skin types, including those with sensitive skin. If you are looking for a reliable, gentle, and effective product to repair and protect your skin, this balm is a top choice.

skin loving ingredients help repair, sooth skin. Lovely gentle cream
Seems like there is nothing this can’t do. It is super gentle, non irritating, ultra moisturizing, yet not greasy or oily. It absorbs quickly, has no scent, and can be used anywhere on body. Thicker than a lotion, but not as heavy as a cream. It is rich and glides across the skin. A little goes a long way.Like anything, this likely awesome for many but perhaps not for everyone. So I will tell you about my skin: Mid 40s, leans dry, semi sensitive, non acne, clear skin that has rosacea. I get pink skin with redder spotting from visible veins (telangiectasias). While it isn’t going to fix the red, it can and does help with strengthening the skin barrier (this is where a lot of sensitivities and other reactive skin stems from- weakened/damaged skin barrier from mistreatment- sun, exfoliation, oil stripping, etc). I have learned to use gentle products, using products that help add moisture and/or retain moisture. As I learned about skin friendly skin products I would often see reference to La Roche-Posay. I began with using one of the sunscreens, then a face wash, then added in this soothing repairing balm as well as their moisture mask. I have been very pleased with everything I have used by this company so far. Going to try some other goodies soon!I love using it as a face moisturizer– dont need much!! Just add a little to palm of hand, distribute between both hands and pat gently all over face or trouble spots. Or dab on and pat all in. Don’t rub, don’t use a lot (though packaging does say that it can be used in a generous layer. I prefer light layer for my face). As with any skin care, try a patch test and don’t add in a lot of new stuff at once. Go slow! See how something works for you before adding more items or moving on.I HAVE used it on my lips. It is fantastic for super dry cold days, whether inside or out. I spend a lot of time outside in the winter, so I like having some additional moisture treatment at the ready. It isn’t fancy, it isn’t all glossy and pretty.. it is just simply comfort and effectiveness. I love keeping a tube in my pocket or purse for this reason. Also will use it on my hands and massage it into nail area. Given the small sized container, I usually just keep it for face, hands, and elbows.Paraben free, fragrance free.Add me to the long list of fans of this product!

One of best creams for sensitive, prone to allergy skin, other best being bioderma atoderm. This is a costly cream but it heals and sooths and repairs the skin beautifully.Absolutely recommended if you like to care about your skin.

My skin is extra dry and I love the feeling that this balm gives me. I noticed that the regular b5 balm seems to have a different formulation compared to the one that is called “soothing therapeutic” and so I have specifically bought this one because I love the texture. I like going to bed with the thick layer on top of all my serums and retinol.
